Our history |

Synmosa Biopharma, formerly
known as the Formosa Time Pharmaceuticals, was founded
by Peter Lin in 1979. In the early days, the company
started as a distributor for respiratory products
for Orion Pharma in Taiwan. Mr. Lin's belief and
dedication in prolonging and improving the quality
life of human life through providing quality products
led him to expand the company's vertical business
line by acquiring Shin-Yuan chemical & Pharmaceutical
Co. Ltd in 1992.
In 2001, for better utilization of company resources,
Synmosa Biopharma was formed with the merger of
Peter Trading Co. Ltd, Formosa Time Pharmaceutical
Co Ltd, and Shin-Yuan Chemical & Pharmaceutical
Co. Ltd
Synmosa
Biopharma strongly believes in providing
quality and innovative pharmaceutical and healthcare
products to people, therefore we established our
research center to create and study new components
and delivery methods. In 2004, we established our
low humidity health food plant in Shin-Chu industrial
park.
In 2005, in order to improve our production capacity
and to be able to supply the global market, we acquired
Boehringer Ingelheim's Shin-Chu factory in Taiwan. |

Synmosa's world-class factory, originally owned
by Boehringer
Ingelheim,was successfully passed International
corporate GMP audits, authorities’ audit and validation
audit by the government. This factory has been manufacturing
and providing Boehringer Ingelheim's medical products
in Taiwan and also to South Africa and Indonesia.
The Synmosa plant was built in 1985 by Boehringer
Ingelheim as a manufacturing facility of solid dosage
forms, liquids and MDI. It was expanded in 1990
and 1995. The factory is furnished with state-of
the art equipment. It was transferred to Synmosa
in Oct. 2005. Moreover, most of the well-trained
talents by Beohringer Ingelheim continually work
for Synmosa after the acquisition has made.
