A. Effervescent technique:     　　Synmosa is focusing on effervescent technique development. It has been applied to different preparations, which include tablets, granule, powder, etc. Sunicare, a protein removal tablet for contact lenses, is the best selling products of Synmosa's effervescent product. It had export to Japan, China, Singapore, Poland, Israel, etc. Suntab, a new formulation of multiple vitamins plus trace elements in special effervescent technique production, gained 1999 National Quality Award. Suntab is under registration process in Singapore. Panacon, acetaminophen, a newly development product from Synmosa, is the only acetaminophen preparation using effervescent technique. There are some other items in the developing pipeline, which believes in late stage of completion.         B. Slow release   　　Slow release technique is another strategic project of formulation development in Synmosa. There are four products in different slow release technique. They are a. Pentoxifylline 400mg b. Gemfibrozil 600mg c. Diclofenac Na. 100mg d. Isosobide mono-nitrate(ISMN) 40mg Two of above items had been listed in major medical centers in Taiwan. Those are with B.E. (bio-equivalence) certificated and product validation.   C. Pellets   　　Synmosa is going to develop slow releasing formulation of pellets in its newly established formulation lab in Tao-Yuan province, Taiwan. Two products are under developing in this technique. One is long-acting NSAID for rheumatoid arthritis. Another is for anti-platelet aggregation.   .                     Near-term：     　　Keep strengthening above technique in different potential generic products in chronic diseases. And continue their B.E. test, product validation, clinical trials, etc.     Mid-term：     　　Up-scaling above techniques and received toll manufacturing orders.     Long-term：       　　In-licensing new technique, ex. Nanotechnology, co-development with foreign companies, participating government initiative project, etc. This part will mainly held in Chung-Li New Lab.                           　　Synmosa is planning to establish a new formulation and development lab in Chung-Li, Tao-Yuan province. The research program will focus on new formulation technique of, Biopharmaceuticals (ex. Chinese Herbal Medicine), Functional/Health Food and some biotech products (ex. PCR reagents.)                           A. Synmosa owned 100 pharmaceutical products certificated with c-GMP 　 standard. B. 19 items of them with B.E. certification. C. Two products, Sevina and Suntab gained 1999 National Quality Award D. Biotech product, Topmer, PCR reagent, gain 2001 National Biotech Award E.
